Bookishness

I may have linked to this article in the past, but this article makes me jolly.

Seriously, the Outlander series is so good, I have yet to find anything else that compares. I'm totally going to have to re-read them again. Now I want to go to Scotland.

Also, there are huge ads up in the subway for some sort of electronic book reader device, and it says "sexier than a librarian." Bah. I am sexier than an electronic reading device! Besides, books smell good and look nice on your bookshelf. I just can't see Sony competing with that.

It's a Sony ad.

They have actually improved them, they used to just say, "Sexier than a Librarian"
Now they say "Sexier than a Librarian (your librarian may vary)."

This is the product.

Blech. I don't know, I just don't want to be staring at yet another screen when I'm away from my various computers. Books rule, Sony Readers drool!

Hah! I like his description of the "typical" romance novel he read. Those things are my personal hell. Every so often I'll get the urge to read one, and will convince myself that this time it won't be so offensive and then...no.

I wonder if I should try rereading Outlander. I remember liking the first book well enough, but I never loved it like you and Meg did. Maybe my tastes have changed?
